  1. Nucleus

  2. Lysosomes! Sounds boring doesn’t it? Well guess what?

  3. They most certainly are Not Boring!!!

  4. What do Lysosomes do? • Simple. These little organelles help you digest your food. They break it down into tiny pieces that way it goes down smoothly and comes out the “other end”.

  5. What do Lysosomes look like? • These tiny organelles have a hydrolytic enzyme mixture on the inside (some of the enzymes include lipase to digest lipids, carbohydrase to digest carbohydrates, proteases to digest proteins, and nucleases to digest nucleic acids) , a plasma membrane with a lipid bilayer to protect the inside of the cell, and a glycosylated membrane to transport proteins.

  6. Why do you want Lysosomes? • Why would you want to have to let out huge pieces of what you ate and feel pain? You could just buy our specially engineered Lysosomes to help your food go down smoothly! That way you can feel better after a stomach ache.

  7. Investors... Possibly YOU!!!

  8. A presentation by: Jorge Valdes & Manuel alvarez Period 1

  9. Ribosomes! • Nick Limner and Taylor Paul • N

  10. BUY NOW! • What you get: • Thousands of Ribosomes per cell. • Free and attached. • The ability to make proteins. • Proteins are the basic building blocks of life.

  11. “With Ribosomes, you’ll be able to take part of the great protein industry.”

  12. Appearance: Located north, south, east, and west of the nucleus. Text

  13. The Cytoskeleton Jennifer Hidalgo Joshua Mijares Period 1

  14. Why does it matter? • Give the cell support and structure • Helps with movement • interact extensively and intimately with cellular membranes

  15. What is it made up of? • Mostly alkaline based • Made up of microfilaments and micro tubules

  16. A closer look at theCytoskeleton • Microtubules intermediate filaments

  17. Thanks for watching  enjoy the music
