  3. Paragraph 1 • Pattern-Welding was used to make iron swords. • Swords were first made of bronze. • Adding a small amount of carbon smelting steel made a sword far stronger than the iron sword. • Medieval knights mostly used the swords.

  4. Paragraph 1 • Through the 11th and 13th century swords were either single or double edged. • Swords were used for cutting weapons.

  5. Paragraph 2 • Armor was silver. • The helm was replaced by the bascinet. • They had a removable or hinged visor to see and breath. • They made armor for the horses.

  6. Paragraph 2 • They put padding for comfort. • Chain-mailed neck guards called aventails. • Armor was put at the elbows and knees for as much movement as possible.

  7. Paragraph 3 • The Battle of Courtari showed that the soilder’s could defeat such enemy. • English archers had long welsh longbows. • A charge by knights on horseback was decisive in battles.

  9. Conclusion • The knights were good warriors because of their weapons , armor and battle’s. It is cool to learn about what the knights wore and used.
