The USAID/EQUIP3 funded PAJE-Nièta will accompany 12,000 Malian youth (ages 14-25) towards employment and entrepreneur-ship in the regions of Kayes, Koulikoro, Sikasso and Timbuktu (2010 – 2015). • Increased access to relevant basic education/work readiness instruction • Increased access to relevant skills training • Increased entrepreneurship opportunities • Increased civic engagement PAJE-Nièta: Increasing Literacy and Entrepreneurship with Mobile Technologies

PAJE-Nieta Youth Cell Phone User Survey • Random sample of 8.7% (495 PAJE youth) of 5,690. • 52% of youth interviewed possessed a cell phone at the time of the interview. • For those youth who had a phone, they were asked how much they paid. Youth were also asked how much they were willing to pay.
