Main Points • Premature Birth • should be of concern to Chickasaw County • The difference in rates between the state and county have  over time • Chickasaw County’s rates of premature birth have  to match Mississippi’s rates • Heart Disease • Rates are high and are of major concern especially among the older population • But, rates for both Mississippi and Chickasaw County have  over the past 5 years
