RTA inagurates Deluxe Coach Service between Dubai & Abu Dhabi The CEO of RTA Public Transport Agency Essa Abdul-Rahman Al Dossari said that such type of new deluxe coaches was part of an intergrated strategic plan developed by the RTA to upgrade mass transit modes in the emirate and attract additional commuters to help alleviate road congestion.
Dubai Metro “RTA is seeking to increase the percentage of trips made by mass transit modes to 30% through provision of mass transit options of high quality, reasonable cost and wide geographical coverage to beat the demand for private vehicles. Besides that, RTA is also endeavouring to raise the awareness, orient the culture & social attitude towards using mass transit modes, and enhance the intergration between mass transit modes such as public buses, Dubai Metro and marine transport” he said. The new coaches,bus and trains are built at the best technologies and highest standard & safety standards designs customized to meet the requirements of special needs persons as these buses are fitted with purpose- built entry and seating points on board.

The buses are also equipped with an electronic destination and route display system, and are fitted with screens and personal reading lights.

Better safety, comforts to boost use of public buses • The buses are also fitted with the Electronic Stability Programme that gives drivers better control of the vehicle, ensures stability on the road, and significantly minimizes the risk of skidding. • In accordance with international safety and security standards, the RTA has fitted all its buses with emergency exits, alarm systems, fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
