What Are They? • Two glands that are suspended within a sac that hang outside of the body called the scrotum. • The are responsible for secreting testosterone and sperm
Homeostasis • The testis remain outside the body to retain the perfect temperature for sperm production, which is slightly lower than the body temperature. • Raise and Lower • Reflex Reaction
Hormones • FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) The development, growth, pubertal maturation, and reproductive processes of the body • LH (luteinizing hormone) Stimulates Leydig cell production of testosterone

Testicular Cancer The cancer is divided into two types: seminoma (30%) and nonseminoma (70%). Testicular cancer is almost always treatable if detected in the early stages, even if it has already started to spread.
Symptoms of Cancer The symptoms of testicular cancer include: • a painless lump in the testicle • dull ache or pain in the groin or abdomen • enlargement of a testicle • pain, discomfort, or a feeling of "heaviness" in the scrotum • pain or discomfort in the testicle
