Agenda and Commentary Retail and Wholesale Systems Performance Retail Transaction Processing – service level target will not be met for 2008; however for the month of October, system availability was at 100%. TML, MarkeTrak, TML Report Explorer, and Retail API – year to date performance continues to be above the service level target Wholesale – October system performance was 100% Market and Grid Control Systems Performance Real Time Balancing Market (RTBM), Frequency Control (FC) – October performance was 99.866% and 100% respectively 17 November 2008 ERCOT Public
Agenda and Commentary (continued) Retail System Issues Retail processing – ERCOT was in the process of setting up a separate disaster recovery environment. The NAESB application was configured to function as Production in the event of a disaster. At 3:18 PM on October 30, 2008, the application was started in error which caused all test transactions in the environment to be sent outbound to the market MarkeTrak outage – 225 minutes – An SSL certificate issue caused an unplanned outage. System was restored with a temporary fix until a new certificate could be implemented on 10/22. 17 November 2008 ERCOT Public
