Definition Instructional Supervisory Plan is a detailed in-service education and leadership set of activities or actions that a principal or supervisor takes to promote growth in students learning.
Justification of ISP • It is the initial indicator of PASSA. • It is one of the duties and responsibilities of a school head. (RA 9155) • It is one of the requirements in SBM Dimension 4 (School Improvement Process) and 6 (School Performance Accountability).
Role of School Head as Instructional Leader • defines the purpose of schooling; • provides resources needed for learning to occur; • supervises and evaluates teachers; • coordinates staff development programs; and • creates collegial relationships with and among teachers.
Objectives of ISP • It helps school system provide for professional stimulation and curriculum improvement. • It serves as guide among instructional leaders in monitoring instruction. • It leads the school leaders to focus on key areas of curriculum development.
