(1) Assuring Qualityand Efficiency Enhancing the predictability of the system and diminishing juridical insecurity To avoid the concession of patents that do not represent relevant contributions to the state of the art To favor inventing around and avoiding market reserves on future innovation;
(2) Monitoring and disbursing Technological Information Understanding of technology paths and monitoring trends Identification of technology suppliers and providing information to help build technological or commercial partnerships
(3) Promoting the use of IP Promoting the understanding and use of the IP system by Developing Countries citizens and companies Building special provisions and offering support for LDCs citizens and companies

(2) Sharing IT Infrastructure and Information • Integrated databases and information system platforms • Joint Observatories for Technological and Strategic Information Diffusion and Prospection
(3) Sharing Search and Examination Reports • A step-forward from the integration of IT infrastructures • Relies on mutual confidence and common technical standards, built upon networked research, education and training • Voluntary technical cooperation approach • No extra-harmonization of laws required or intended
FIT Brazil • US$ 1 million per year • Open to joint inniciatives with other development oriented funds and programs
