Margarine experiment You are in a supermarket and there is an ad for margarines. You are offered samples of fat free and regular margarine. Would the presence of the mirror affect how much you eat of either type of margarine? Click this slide to see how it effected others. A mirror led to a 20% reduction in the consumption of full-fat margarine due to self-awareness guilt (Sentyrz and Bushman 1998) Evoke self awareness when advertising for a charity.
