After Glacier Age • Glaciers moving for humans • Animals moving to fresh water • Extinction to most animals • Water unfreezes
Early Man • Hunting too much • Animal extinction • Flint napping • Starting fire
Early Farmers • The Plow • Irrigation • River valleys • Ditches & Canals
Mesopotamia • They made city walls • Made a Ziggurat • They did pottery • The creation of cuneiform
Egypt • Making boats • Civil War • The Pyramids • Burial Tombs
Greece • The soil is bad • There are lots of mountains • There is never enough fresh water • Greece has a lot of coastlines (beaches)
Rome • Tremendous environmental advantages • There were deserts, mountains, swamps, forests, etc. • People were farmers & herders • Built roads & bridges
Conclusion After I’ve learned about ancient people and how they impacted their environment, I know now that we affect the environment more than the ancient people did then. Everybody needs to learn how we impact the environment now with our machines.
