Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport The National Information Integrated System for Maritime and River Transport «MoRe» Decision of the Ministry of Transport of 28th November 2008: «…to create the complex integrated information system to provide information support of maritime and inland waterways safety by consolidating national, regional and other existing information systems…» (acronym «MoRe» derived from Russian words «Sea+River») The Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) «Morsviazsputnik» has been charged with a task

Main system goals and objectives: • to integrate the existing national and regional water transport information systems; • to provide complex control of maritime and inland transport by using data from different sources of information; • to provide the interested public authorities with integrated information about maritime and inland transport; • to create the information systems for supporting safety of navigation

  4. Sources of information for “MoRe” • National vessel monitoring system “Victoria” • Long range identification and tracking of ships (LRIT) • Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) Regional AIS shore systems, VTMIS COSPAS-SARSAT Data Centre Port State Control Special information systems of the maritime and inland transport agencies ( transport inspections, safety departments, marine academies, R&D institutes etc.) Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Central and Regional Maritime Rescue Coordination CentreMRCC (duty forces) Russian River register Integrated information system “SeaWorld” (Russian hydrometeorological centre) Database of legislation, regulations, reference library etc. Foreign information systems for maritime and inland transport (i.e. ExactEarth) Recognized Classification societies (Bureau Veritas,Germanischer Lloyd)
