Children in Year 3 showcase their understanding of Jesus the Healer through independent work. Two students created a PowerPoint presentation illustrating their knowledge. The work demonstrates their ability to describe Christian beliefs about Jesus' healing miracles and how his power is still relevant today.

GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSING RE IN KS1 AND KS2 • EXEMPLIFICATION OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION: YEAR 3 ACHIEVING LEVEL 3 Jesus the Healer Task: Year 3 children working independently to show what they have learnt from the unit ‘Jesus the Healer’. The children were told they could show their work In any way. These two children chose to make a powerpoint . Outcomes: This work shows the pupils can describe how Christians believe Jesus performed healing miracles and his power is still at work to-day(AT1 level3) The pupils achieved level 3in AT2 by comparing what it must have been like for one of the people Jesus healed with their own views about miracles and healing
Jesus healed people so we can see everything, not just certain things or shadows.
As people have witnessed these miracles we as Christians believe it was true.
Peter and John met a man who could not walk. Using the power of Jesus the man was made better. Even today people think they can still use the power of God.
In the past Jesus has healed thousands of people who can’t use their legs.
