Proposal of ID Code Standard for Multimedia Information Access Services Triggered by Tag-Based Identification Noboru Koshizuka and Youichi Takashima YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory,TTC, Japan
Objective of this contribution • The main objective of this contribution is to propose the outline of ID code specification (H.IDcode) for “Multimedia Information Accessing Services Triggered by Tag-Based Identification” which will be proposed as a draft recommendation to SG16.
Background and Motivation • We have no international standard ID code system which covers NID service areas. • On the other hands, we have already had some international ID code systems for RFID services, but…
Problems • Even in a single RFID information services deals with several kinds of objects or places. • And, it might be possible but would be very hard for information service providers to deal with a lot of ID code systems in an RFID information services. • A product information traceability service in a super market will need ID code for electric equipments, ID code for beer bottles, ID code for music CDs, … • Some kinds of objects and places have no international standard ID code scheme. • eg. No international ID code standard for locations, vegetables, fishes, wears, …, …
Solutions • Multi-code scheme • It’s better for us to be able to use any kinds of ID code systems for these services. • H.IDcode should include OID-based multi-code schemes [AVD-3106, AVD-3107, Korea] for this purpose. • ID code for tag-based identification • However, it would be better for us if an information service can be realized using only one ID code system. • H.IDcode should include Korea’s mCode (which will be proposed by Korea) and Japan’s ucode [AVD-3074, Japan] for the tag-based identification process.
Overview of the Proposal Multi-code scheme using OID[AVD-3106, AVD-3107, Korea] Basic ID code (Mode1) [AVD-3074, Japan] OID: 2.27.X + Basic ID code (Mode 2) which will be proposed by Korea OID: 2.27.Y + MID Code Systems specified in H.IDcode recommendation. OID: 2.27.Z + Future New NID 1 The whole ID code system for multimedia information accessing triggered by tag-based identification Future extension of “H.IDcode” Recommendation …… …… OID for ID_A + ID_A ID Code Systems which are not specified in H.IDcode recommendation, but can be used for multimedia information accessing triggered by tag-based identification + OID for ID_B ID_B OID for ID_X + Future New ID_X …… ……
