General view of activities - Stats • 580 new complaints submitted • 41 % related to education (mostly regarding children with special needs and imposing of sanctions) • 17 % health and welfare institutions, nurseries • 13 % guardianship and parental conflict issues • 12 % integration of immigrants and refugees • 5 % abuse and neglect • 50 meetings with school pupils • 24 visits in care and young offenders institutions • 57 speeches and seminars to professionals • 33 visits in other cities
Hosted and publicized the first meeting of NGOnetwork to monitor UN CRC Supported the ratification of HagueConvention Supported the enrolment of undocumented and illegally resided children inschool Commented on the new penallegislation for juveniles, stressing on community sanctions instead of detention Proposed the establishment of school regulations Recommended measures for institutions for children with chronicdiseases and severedisabilities Submitted report on the rights of children in internetcafés. Investigated good practices in secondary schools, on prevention and tackling of violence + bullying among pupils. Discussed with pupils of selected schools. • Started a study on the implementation of Q4CStandards in child protection institutions (together with SOS Villages) • Organised a discussion between YAP members and the Minister of Education, on school regulations • Organised public awareness events and activities on: • 20 years anniversary of CRC (posters competition) • Campaign against corporal punishment of children • Promotion of democracy and communication in schools • Presentation of Youth Advisory Panel first year of operation Research and publicity events
