Pasadena Tank Corporation Providing Safety, Quality and Performance
Being a Tank Construction and Maintenance Company dictates that we work primarily in the Tank Farm area of the plant. One of the first things we noticed was the inability of our crews to hear Emergency Alarms or Announcements. There are several Best Practices we have developed to improve this situation.
Muster Point Matrix Per Tank and Wind Direction • We created a Muster Point Matrix that’s lists 164 Tank locations and the muster points preferred depending on wind direction.
Initiated Wind Socks Being Located on Each Tank During TAR • Windsocks are installed at each tank to determine wind direction in the tank farm due to the amount of area we cover.
Daily Evacuation Awareness Sign • We have developed a magnetic dry erase evacuation sign that is posted at each tank entrance that provides fast reference information for evacuation and awareness.
Intrinsically Safe Phones • Supervisor's at each tank have a intrinsically safe phone for PTC work group communication. We were the first ones to implement these phones.
PTC is Going to Strive on Improving Safety, Quality and Performance Everyday. We Believe in Teamwork and Making Changes to Reach These Goals.
