Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Updates / Questions / Reminders • EDS 3.5 Friday meetings suspended for 2 weeks • No meeting on July 4th • No meeting on July 11th • Next meeting will occur July 18th • Note: Starting July 18th, the WebEx info for the EDS 3.5 Friday calls will change. Please review the ERCOT calendar when logging into that call. • Several members of the EDS team will be out of the office over the next 2 weeks • Email response times will be slower • Please ensure to CC eds3@ercot.com on all emails http://nodal.ercot.com 5

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Environment Outages • 6/20 3:40PM – 3:45PM – Planned bounce of RLC to make configuration adjustments • 6/23 05:00PM – 05:15PM Preventative bounce of MMS • 6/24 12:05PM – 02:00PM MMS unavailable – Restarted Services • ERCOT will be doing an ICCP Site to Site failover on July 8th • If you have not completed your association with the Taylor servers, send an email to eds2@ercot.com today. • What’s next with EDS 3? • We will continue to run SCED / Post RT LMP’s • This will require continuation of TPO submittals on a daily basis • TPO’s should continue to cover 80 – 120% of cost • Min Energy / Startup Costs may be 0.00 since we are not currently running DAM/RUC • FIP / FOP % must still continue to = 100% combined • COP will only be required in the case of using an output schedule • Output schedules use the sustainable limits in the COP for validation • In this circumstance, COP’s are not required to be updated throughout the day http://nodal.ercot.com 6

(continued…) • ICCP • ICCP must continue to be in place 24/7 • ICCP data quality must continue to be monitored and problems resolved • These are the ongoing requirements communicated to the market from November of 2007 • Daryl Cote will discuss additional EDS 3 activities at TPTF • Refer to the ERCOT calendar for schedule and agenda times • In Summary – Starting Next Week 6/30/08: • Submit the following for each trade date: • Three Part Offer or Output Schedule • EOC only required 80 – 120% of cost • Min Energy / Start-up may be zero’d out • FIP/FOP must Sum to 100% • COP • Only required if submitting an Output Schedule • No updates in the adjustment period required http://nodal.ercot.com 7

System Wide Test - Review • Individual QSE data spreadsheets will be distributed next week • Several QSE’s have asked questions regarding specific resources during the System Wide Test • These are currently being worked and QSE’s can expect responses early next week as we work through the data http://nodal.ercot.com 8

  9. Limits during test period 6/25, 11am – 1pm • GTBD within 2000-3000MW of HDL (plenty of room). • LEL > LSL for all but four intervals of test – check your telemetered LEL and LSL http://nodal.ercot.com 9

Reference LMP, Max LMP, Min LMP • One transformer constraint implemented for entire test (causing no price separation), one additional line constraint for second half of test (price separation) • Reference LMPs steady increase from $95 to $122 • Temporary Max/Min LMP reduction at 12:45 http://nodal.ercot.com 10
