NPA Enterprise and Business Launch Event Purpose of Event is to provide: • General information on NPAs and this development • An overview of the NPA – content, assessment etc. • An insight from key stakeholders in the sector • A centre’s experiences in delivering NPAs • To stimulate thinking on practical issues around delivery • To encourage Networking To help and support practitioners interested in delivering the NPA in Enterprise and Business

National Progression Awards • Vocational Qualifications • Designed to prepare people for all types of employment, career development and progression to further study • Can be delivered in various ways within schools, colleges or by private Training Providers • Designed to assess a defined set of skills and knowledge • Linked to National Occupational Standards

NPA Enterprise and Business • Follow on from NPAs in Enterprise and Employability • Developed over last 18 months and validated March 2011 • Available to centres from August 2011 • Consists of five mandatory Units at SCQF 6 • Focus on pre-enterprise activity • Covers a range of skills, knowledge and attributes identified as being of value
