It is the wisdom that God deposit in those who accept Jesus Christ into their lives (1 Cor. 1:24) • It is following God’s directives as revealed by His Spirit to achieve God-approved results (Isaiah 11: 2-4) • It also means having genuine reverence for God and His Word (Psalm 111: 10; Prov. 9: 10) • It is the principal thing for everyone (Prov. 4:7)

  4. 1 Thess. 5: 22 • Genuinely turn away from sin and separate from sinners (verse 7) • Walk in the light of the gospel as you have been taught (verse 8) • Bear the fruit of righteousness (verse 9) • Prove every invitation before accepting it (verse 10) • Do not have fellowship with evil associations (verse 11) • Reprove anyone who wants to lure one to do evil (verse 11) • Do not speak evil of anyone (verse 12)

  6. Obey His words • Ecclesiastes 12:13 • Respect elders, leaders and parents • Leviticus 19:3; Ephesians 6: 1, 2 • Serve and cleave to Him • Deut. 10:20, 21 • Not oppress anybody, take bribe, or rule with rigour • Leviticus 25:17,36,43 • Not be hypocritical (Colossians 3:22)

Disobedience attracts Punishments • Pharaoh (Exodus 9:30) • Amalekites (Deuteronomy 25:17,18) • Saul, the first king of Israel (1 Samuel 15:24). • Obedience attracts blessings • Joseph (Genesis 42:18) • Abraham (Genesis 22:12) • The Midwives in Egypt (Exodus 1:17) • Phinehas (Numbers 26:6-8) • Cornelius (Acts 10:1,2)

  8. It would take courage and commitment to fear and please the Lord • Isaiah 57:11; Luke 12:5 • There are commendations for Christians who fear the Lord • Psalm 128:1-6; Revelation 11:18 • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom • Psalm 111: 10
