You know him, for he “dwells with you and will be in you”. John 14:16ESV
The Holy Spirit His purpose - to bring Glory to the Father and to prepare his people for battle. (Spiritual Battle)
The Holy Spirit For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Corth 10:3, 4 NIV
The Holy Spirit • Psalm 106:8 Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, That He might make His mighty power known. • Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. • Jeremiah 10:12 He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.

The Holy Spirit “The Royal Seal”
The Holy Spirit When you heard the word of truththe gospel of your salvation, and believed in him (Jesus) You were “sealed” with the promised “Holy Spirit”who is- the guarantee of our inheritance Ephesians 1:13-14ESV
The Holy Spirit • His seal is eternal and implies “ownership” and “authority”. • When we trust in Jesus for our Salvation God sends His Holy Spirit to indwell us and aid us in our efforts to further “His Kingdom” and bring glory to “God”. • It is this indwelling power that confirms that we “belong to Him” and that we truly have pasted from death to life.
The Holy Spirit And as we live in God, (Walk in the Spirit) our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. 1 John 4:17
The Holy Spirit “Sanctification”
The Holy Spirit • The Holy Spirit is continuing the work which began on the cross, now being freed from the destructive power of sin and Gods judgment, • He continually draws us into a deeper relationship with God and transforms us from within. This work is referred to as "Sanctification”.
The Holy Spirit Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will- “become holy”(Sanctification)Romans 6:19-23
The Holy Spirit Our Salvation is secure because it is based not on “our efforts” but by the finished work of His “Shed Blood” on the cross. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 NKJV
The Holy Spirit • My position in Christ = “I am Holy” Clean and Forgiven • Practically I am still a = Sinner
The Holy Spirit “Our Helper”
The Holy Spirit And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another“Helper”to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:16,17ESV
The Holy Spirit • The Holy Spirit guides us into “All truth” and empowers us to comprehend “Gods Word” and apply it in our lives. • He will always build us up for the purpose of furthering “His Kingdom”.
The Holy Spirit we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the “Spirit” interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:13
The Holy Spirit • The “fruit of the Spirit” is the natural result of “Gods Spirit” working in us and through us. • This is how the world will know that we “belong to Him” and it is also a powerful tool for “evangelism”. • “Our Witness and Testimony”.
The Fruit of the Spirit - The Fruit of the Flesh- • Love • Joy • Peace • Long Suffering • Gentleness • Goodness • Faithfulness • Self-control • Impurity • Sexual immorality • Jealousy • Anger • Quarreling • Envy • Divisions • Drunkenness
The Fruit of the Spirit- walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. Galatians 5:16-26
The New Man -vs- The Old Man • Understands his role (Purpose) • Recognizes his weakness (The Flesh) • Draws near to God (Prayer & Fasting) • Proclaims His message (Evangelism) • Gives thanks in all things (Praise & Thanksgiving) • Prays without ceasing (Petitions) • Encourage those around him (Kindness) • Studies to show himself approved (Biblical exegeses) • Meditate on God’s Word and Goodness (Humility) • Constantly seeks Gods approval (Faithful and Obedient) • Exists to show Gods Mercy to those around him (Love)

The Holy Spirit For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. Galatians 5:4 NLT
