On the page that appears, read the overview, then… Click here to jump to the bottom of the page… Click here to go to the downloads page… Then click on the name of your GP clinical system, e.g. iSOFT Premiere, INPS Vision, etc. Open your web browser, e.g. Internet Explorer, and go to the Apollo web site at www.apollo-medical.com/qof The Downloads page will appear. Please read any instructions carefully as this will save time later. …or click this green button. Both have the same action. You can, of course, just go directly to the Downloads page by going to www.apollo-medical.com/qof/downloads.htm
If you have a fast Internet connection, click this button to download the installer, If your Internet connection is slower, however, (i.e. less than 128Kbps) then download the Apollo client instead. This will ensure that if the download of the QOF AVRG software is interrupted, it will resume at the point where it left off, rather than starting all over again. Let’s download and install the QOF Wizard for iSoft Premiere The web page gives you important information about downloading the QOF AVRG software – please read it! We’ll assume you’re choosing Option 1 and downloading the QOF AVRG software installer.
Let’s save it to the Desktop for now; you can always move it later. Click the button to show a list of locations; choose ‘Desktop’. Click on ‘Save’ as you will need to save the installer to a known location. Keep the same filename, then click ‘Save’.. The File Download dialogue box will appear. The download process will now start.
… and you can see when it’s finished. You can see where you are downloading the file from… You can see how far through the download process you are… You can see the size of the file, and how much of it is still to download… …or click ‘Run’ to run and install the software straight away. Click here to close the dialogue box when the download is complete… Now the installer file has been downloaded, you’re ready to install the QOF AVRG software.
You should now have an icon similar to this one on your desktop. (Yours will be different if you’re downloading for a clinical system other than Premiere.) The installation will start… Double-click the icon to start the installation. Click ‘OK’ to start. Please read the on-screen prompts carefully at each stage of the installation process. The vast majority of installations go smoothly but if an error message does occur, please make a note of it before calling Apollo Support on 0191 516 6684.
The following ‘performing install’ screen will appear. In this example, step 1 of 5 is being executed, but the number of steps may vary depending on your clinical system. You don’t need to intervene at this stage. Enter “sysdba” login name and password… Click ‘Finish’ to close the installer. … and click ‘Login’ to continue the installation process. For iSOFT Premiere practices only, you will be asked to enter your “sysdba” login. If you don’t know your password, please ask your systems administrator or call Apollo Support on 0191 516 6684. The QOF Wizard has now been installed… Important! Always restart your machine after installing this (or any other) software, even if you are not prompted to do so.
