WELCOME 2012 EXPECTATIONS & PROTOCOLS
GAME PROTOCOLS FOCUS • It is our hope that the STANDARDS we set today will be followed towards our goal of CONSISTENCY in ALL Youth & Adult Leagues.
GAME PROTOCOLS Referee Crew • Recommended (if possible) arrival to games 45 to 60 Minutes prior to kick off. • The Referee assigned to the middle of the match is responsible to initiate communication with Assistants. ie: (Email or Phone Call)
GAME PROTOCOLS Travel (Referee Crew) • Assistants are expected to meet at a location chosen by the main official of the match.
GAME PROTOCOLS Game Day Dress Code (Referee Crew) • Business Casual for arrival of games. • Dress pants (no Jeans) ( no shorts ) • Polo Shirt • Dress Shoes (no open toe shoes)
GAME PROTOCOLS Game Day Dress Code (Single Referee) • Same as previous slide • If game takes place at facilities that do not offer change rooms etc than arrival to games is recommended to be inTrack Suit.
GAME PROTOCOLS NON FENCED FIELDS • It is the responsibility of the referee to make sure that teams align on one side of the field and fans stay on the opposite side. • In the event that team benches are on either side of the fields than do your best to have fans sit away from the benches.
GAME PROTOCOLS Failure to Follow Protocols • EMSA Referee Council will: • ASK YOU WHY ? • TELL YOU THAT THIS IS YOUR SECOND WARNING! • REMOVE YOU FROM 3 GAMES!
LAW 4PLAYERS EQUIPMENT Referees responsible to check that players do not wear: • ANY JEWLERY other than MEDIC ALERTS • NO HARD CASTS • NO SHARP EDGES ON FOOT WEAR

Mail or deliver them to league offices no later than 48 hours • GAME FEE Collect prior to kick off. • MISCONDUCT REPORTS Referee Council will assist you with writing them if you need. EMSA Mail Box at front entrance of BMO Centre. • HEALTH Don’t over work yourself. See your Doctor. Enjoy your games
