Background and timeline 2010 • July: Recognition that complete re-organisation necessary to realise savings of 18% • August: Proposal to move to 3 directorate model – People, Places, Resources – One Council • August: All senior officers ‘at risk’ • September: 3 new Strategic Directors appointed • October: Detail of structure developed • November onwards: Recruitment to new posts and redundancy for unsuccessful candidates • December: Terms and Conditions review
