Eastern Africa is generally tropical. However, the high elevation does tend to reduce the average temperatures . Precipitation also varies by elevation. Uganda, Tanzania, and western Kenya receive plentiful rainfall. While Somalia, eastern Ethiopia, and northeastern Kenya receive far less. Climate
