IPC reclassification since CE 45: Observations: • Backlog of reclassification today: 1,2 Million families • Focus on the 2009-2012 part of the backlog (100,000 families reclassified per month) • Little activity on IPC 2013 • IPC reclassification data submission improvement in progress in big offices

  10. Monitoring of IPC Reclassification Statistics: Following CE 45 decisions, IB needs for each project: • Total number of families before automatic reclassification • Results Lists from EPO for all IPC editions • IPC 2013.01, IPC 2014.01…

  11. IPC reclassification since CE 45: Information • IPC reclassification data submission improvement still in progress • Decrease of number of data resubmission for offices who attended IPCRECLASS training session

IPC reclassification Quality Assurance Check that your reclassification are actually published under http://www.wipo.int/ipcreclassification/201301/ • This indicates that your submissions passed all IPCRECLASS controls • This is the only place from where MCD uploads them • Do not ignore error notifications

  13. IPCRECLASS perspectives: New development for: • Automation for stage 3 default transfer • Reclassification status monitoring • Export of statistics for IPC warnings in IPCPUB

  14. IPC publication platform (IPCPUB) Upgrade to version 3.0 • Now in production • Simplified software package installation (available on demand)

  15. IPC publication platform (IPCPUB) More search feature under consideration: • wildcard, fuzzy or proximity searches, • range queries, • term boosting, • boolean operators and grouping, • escaping special characters

  16. IPC publication platform (IPCPUB) Perspectives • IPC warnings: Automated production for incomplete reclassification • Patentscope statitistic based search • FIPCPC project: Parallel viewer for IPC, FI, CPC

  17. IPCCAT Status: • Retraining based on IPC 2012.01 reclassified documents (DOCDB XML): DONE

  18. IPC E-forum Evolutions ready for deployment: • Headers in PDF version of annexes (project number+ annex number) • Active bookmarks in the PDF CONCAT • Stop undesirable email notifications (changes of action plan)

IPCRM project status Future solution for IPC Revision Management Project kick-off: May 6, 2013 High level plan: • Entirely out-sourced, more than just re-do of RIPCIS • Requirement analysis, RFP, contracts setup: Q2 2013-Q1-2014 • Procurement of the solution : Q2 2014 - Q1 2015 • Transition from RIPCIS + support setup: Q1-Q2 2015 Targeted production use: early publication of IPC 2016.01
