  1. ABORTION By: Kimberly Quintanilla.

  2. Worldwide over 42 million abortions are made a year.

  3. Thesis Statement I decided to do my research report on abortion because I am strongly against it. I would also like to learn more about it and hope to change peoples’ viewpoints on the topic.

  4. Reasons for offered abortion. • Baby would interfere with education. • Cannot afford a baby at the moment. • Single mother or having relationship problems. • Birth control failure. • Pregnancy resulting from rape.

  5. Effects of Abortion • Women who have aborted have a higher chance of breast cancer. • Risk of infertility. • May fall into depression due to guilt and anger. • Could catch an infection, followed by a fever that could even result to death. • Recurrent Nightmares.

  6. Statistics • Out of the total number of pregnancies, 24% end in abortion. • Women who have never been married account for 2/3 of all abortions. • Each year, two percent of women aged 15-44 have an abortion. • In the United States, the number of abortions per year: 1.37 million.

  9. Ending Statement • In conclusion, I hope to have shown new information and important facts that may hopefully change your mind about abortion. I believe everyone deserves a chance to live, we shouldn’t take that away.
