Branded Menswear Designer/Garment Technologist Salary– £25,000 - £30,000 Potential Route GCSE Textiles A Level Textiles Design @ University Potential Route GCSE Hospitality NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, or Hospitality Service. • The Company: • Our client is a premium brand of Mens and Ladies Denimwear. Due to company growth they are looking to recruit a Branded Menswear Designer/Garment Technician to join their busy team who is able to hit the ground running. • The Role: • Researching trends. • Sketching designs. • Fabric selection. • Launching designs with developers for factory production. • Pattern cutting and creating prototypes. • Working closely with Graphic Designers to ensure integrity of designs. • Participating in design meetings and presenting concepts. • Product analysis. • Attending customer fit sessions and relaying feedback to persons and factories. • Advising on methods of garment fit and construction, sizing and grading, quality and test reports and safety issues. • Managing and maintaining the critical path for each customer base. • Skills Required: • You must have experience designing mens young fashion. • There is a lot of travelling involved so you must therefore be willing to travel. • Understanding of technical quality side. • Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. • Experience of liaising with Factories and suppliers. • Must be well organised with good communication skills both written and verbal to liaise with Buyers and factories. • Ability to work within a team especially under pressure to meet deadlines and in a similar fast paced company environment.
