Footwear Developer Salary – £35,000 - £40,000 + benefits Potential Route GCSE Product Design A Level Product Design Resistant Materials Design @ University Potential Route GCSE Hospitality NVQ Level 2 in Food and Drink Service, or Hospitality Service. A very exciting opportunity for a Product Developer to join one of the leading British footwear brands at their Central London head office. The role will report into the Product Development Manager and will work directly alongside the sourcing, product and merchandising teams. Within the role you will be responsible for looking at initial designs/trend boards, effectively managing the whole development process ensuring any fit, function or costing issues are resolved, managing the manufacturing process, sourcing suitable materials and communicating on a daily basis with factories in the Far East. To be considered for this role you will have a strong background in footwear development within a commercial business and will have worked across leather footwear.- Substantial exposure to developing footwear within a commercial business.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all other areas of the business and external factories.- Solid knowledge of patterns, moulds, materials and manufacturing processes.- Familiar with working across leather products.- Previous exposure to working with Far East factories and the flexibility to travel regularly.- A confident and commercially minded individual who is looking to work as part of a leading footwear brand.Leading British footwear brand with a Central London head office.
