Once the numerous comments are dealt with, it will begin its public review & comment period - expected final approval, mid November to early December 2006.
NENA E9-1-1 Wireless Maintenance Call Routing & Testing Validation Standard has completed its public review & comment period.
Once the numerous comments are dealt with , it will be submitted to NENA’s Standards Advisory Committee and the Executive Board for final approval. (This standard contains text which should provide closure language for ESIF issues 35 & 36 – processes when adding cell sites.)

Addressing numerous NG9-1-1 issues from an operational perspective

dual-mode service (such as traditional wireless/WiFi),
simultaneous ring,
vehicular & personal telematics functional requirements,
