  2. What I Did I am Liam McCord and I would like to tell you about my Act Local Project that I just completed. I decided to go around the neighborhood collecting used books that were in good condition. Then I took the books to Half Price Books where I asked to trade in the books for money. They gave me around $10.00 for the books I collected. I also did special jobs around the house and made money. I shredded papers for my parents and cleaned up. I earned a total of $25.00. I decided to donate my money to Frisco Family Services. They are an organization that helps the local people who have lost their jobs or don't have enough money for food or basic expenses. I felt so sad that these people and their children don't have enough food to eat. I went online to the Frisco Family Services and I donated the $25.00 to help these people in need. For Thanksgiving, we are going to take some food up to their food bank as well. It feels really good to help others. By Liam McCord
