According to their website, Medical City is the only hospital in North Texas that includes the nation’s best heart specialists. • In 2011, more than 400 children underwent heart operations performed by Dr. Eric Mendeloff in Medical City’s Heart Surgery Unit (CHSU). • In 2012, I was one of DrMendeloff’s patients.

  3. After my surgery in November, I had some complications and was sent back to the hospital right before Christmas. • CHSU has an event called “Snow City” where the parents of admitted children get to pick out Christmas gifts for all of their kids free of charge. • My parents were able to participate in this event.

  4. I chose to give back to Medical City because last year they gave something to me and my family. • To raise money, Mackenzie Fausel and I sold HolidayTreats for $1 each and ChristmasMilk eggnog for $5 each.

  5. Mackenzie and I were able to raise $100. • Mackenzie will give $50 to her organization and I will give $50 to CHSU for their 2013 “Snow City” event.
