  2. LEXINGTON MEDICAL CENTER 2013 PARTNERS PROGRAM The application process for LMC’s Partners Program is now open for rising juniors and seniors, and the applications are due to LMC TODAY!   3. Student Activities & Athletics

  4. FCA Spaghetti Supper FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is sponsoring a free spaghetti dinner Wednesday, February 6 at GHS.  This was rescheduled due to the weather cancellation last week. Dinner will begin at 6:30pm.  Join us for live music and to listen to the Football Chaplain from the University of South Carolina. Focus will be on One Way 2 Play – Drug Free for our students.  Join us for food, fellowship and fun!

  5. The GHS Prom Committee Proudly Announces…

  6. GHS Track Varsity track began TUESDAY.  You must have a current physical and parent consent form on file with Coach Millwood.  If you have any questions, see Deana Keisler in the athletic office.

  7. Create IT Discovery Day This day gives suudents the opportunity to explore careers in information technology This is a High-energy day planned for high school students for Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Columbia, SC, 12:30 – 5:00 pm at IT-ology. This FREE event is open to all high school students but registration IS required! To register, go to http://createit.eventbrite.com.

  8. Attention Students! Yearbooks are in sale NOW!! If you have not bought one yet, time may be running out!!! A yearbook staff member may be contacting you to encourage you to buy one soon! See Mrs. Bentley in Room 232 for details.

  9. Miss GHS 2013 The Miss Gilbert High School Pageant will be held on March 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the GHS Little Theater.  You may sign up NOW outside Mrs. Armstrong's door (Room 114).  Sign-up will continue through February 11th.  Please pick up a packet from the folder beside the sign-up sheet.  If you have any questions feel free to stop by and see Mrs. Armstrong or e-mail her.  All girls who sign up will be contacted through their school e-mail so make sure to look for those e-mails in the next few weeks!! The Student Council is very excited about this year's pageant.  We will be offering a $250 scholarship to the winner of Miss GHS and 2-$50 scholarships to Miss Senior and Miss Junior.  We hope that lots of girls will take advantage of this opportunity! Also, those not participating in the pageant make sure to mark your calendar to come out and see a night of "Sparkle"!!

Attention Sophomores   Jostens will be coming Thursday, Feb. 7thto take your ring orders during lunch and after school until 6 p.m. in the Commons Area.  Parents are welcome at both times.  Remember, those ordering on this day will receive a FREE companion ring.  Those sophomores who did not receive a ring packet yesterday may pick one up from the main office or from room 122.

  11. Attention Seniors If you were a junior marshal last year, Mrs. Gibbons needs you to look around your house to see if you happen to have a stole from graduation.  Two are missing and needed for this year’s graduation.

  12. More Senior News! What to get a jump-start on paying for senior supplies?  You may stop by the Jostens table and make a payment on Feb. 7th during lunch.  Senior supplies will be delivered on March 12th, so get those balances paid off soon!  If you need to know how much you owe, email or stop by and see Mrs. Gibbons.

  13. GHS Events: Come out and support all our Indian Athletes! Friday, February 1 – Varsity Basketball vs. Airport, HOME, 6:00 pm Varsity Wrestling Region Tournament at Airport, Times to be Announced
