  2. Goals/Planning • What is your goal? • Will your goals be short-term or long-term? • You can have several goals that you want to achieve. • Decide whether you are going to a four year college or university or going to the workforce.

  3. Graduation Checklist • APPLY FOR GRADUATION!!! • Make sure you have been tracking your courses so that you will successfully complete all required courses. • Order graduation items (cap/gown) and class ring (optional).

  4. What Do I Do Next ?

  5. School or Work School • Choose career and program of study • What does the career choice require to get employment? (Bachelor or Masters) • Research colleges and universities that offer your program of study • Research financial options

  6. College Transfer • Must have completed degree requirements in the Associate’s of Arts, Associate’s of General Education or Associate’s of Science programs. • Choose a major and a college or university that offers your major. • Consult with SSS counselor. • Apply for financial aid and scholarships.

  7. Financial Resources • Ask SSS staff at any time for assistance • DON’T WAIT!!!! APPLY EARLY!!!! Some grants and scholarships require additional information, such as essays and recommendation letters. • Additional resources: www.cfnc.org www.fastweb.com

  8. School or Work Work • Choose a job you want to apply for • Build a resume • Become friends with Joblink and the Employment Security Commission. • Research employers • Review interview skills.
