The 5 shapes • Box • Circle • Rectangle • Squiggle • Triangle
Box • Boxes can be: • Organized • Reliable • Hard workers • Stable • Slow to make decisions • Resistant to working in teams
Circle • Circles can be: • Empathetic • Personable • Perceptive • Strong communicators • Hesitant to engage in conflict • Indecisive when it comes to making the tough decisions
Rectangle • Rectangles can be: • Receptive to change • Very insightful • Curious to explore and learn new things • They like to know how things work • Unreliable • Inconsistent
Squiggle • Squiggles can be: • Creative • Abstract thinkers • Energetic • Extroverted & outgoing • Unfocused • Impulsive • Resistant to highly structured environments
Triangle • Triangles can be: • Goal oriented • Decisive • Ambitious • Confident • Overly opinionated • Egotistical • Resistant to accepting others’ ideas
Break out Groups • Items to discuss: • What does your shape or shape combination need in order to be successful? • What shapes do you work best with? Worst with? • How do you perceive the other shapes? How do you think other shapes perceive you? • What are the best things about your shape? The worst? • Why do you think this particular shape was chosen to represent your leadership style? • What are the benefits to having a team with one type of shape? With all types?
