KS5 ALPs Target Grades • Based on GCSE Average Point Score • Each GCSE grade is converted into points A*-8 A-7 B-6 C-5 D-4 E-3 F-2 G-1 • Calculated to produce a minimum expected grade/ALPS target • Issued to students/parents before October half-term & data shared with subject staff • Progression towards target grades regularly monitored-first reporting November • All students challenged to exceed the ALPs grade

  14. Pastoral Care & Support • Friday lesson 3 (11:30-12.15am) each week • Student mentors • Tutors provide support through • Mentoring & listening to student concerns • Follow up any subject referrals • Monitor attendance & punctuality • Destinations: UCAS/employment/training

Our Expectations • Attendance & punctuality • 95% above to meet or exceed targets • Parent/carer to contact sixth form reception on day of absence • Daily texts to parents if students are absent • Lessons start at 8.45a.m, 11.30 and 1.10 students should be in the room • No authorised holidays at Post 16 • Students all aware of procedures!! • I.D badges have to be worn at all times

The Basics • Timetable sent to parents first week in October • Subject choices & ‘subject request to change’ Fri 30th September-all parents contacted • Files, paper, folders • Data collection information used for consent forms • Special Arrangements for examinations, SEN needs • 16-19 Bursary • Outside working hours should not impact upon college work
