PGDTF Meeting • Business meeting was held onAugust 7th • Discussed Federal and State activities regarding GMD • Texas A&M working on grant from DOE to install magnetometer • ERCOT RARF/TSP Submission Update • Reviewed ERCOT GMD Vulnerability Assessment Scope • Reviewed GIC System Model update schedule • Reviewed final GIC flows posted by ERCOT 8/9/2018 ROS Meeting
RARF Submission Update • RE’s submit GIC System Model data via the RARF. • ERCOT reviewing generator GMD data for the 2022 case updates. • ERCOT internal department and client services working with REs to get missing data. 8/9/2018 ROS Meeting
Review ERCOT GMD Vulnerability Assessment Scope • ERCOT presented the GMD Vulnerability Scope to the task force. • This scope will be used by ERCOT to conduct the GMD Vulnerability Assessment in 2019. 8/9/2018 ROS Meeting
Status of 2022 GIC System Model Update • TSPs must submit new GIC System Models based on the 2022 SSWG Summer Peak and MIN cases released June 2018. • Update Schedule: • 10/1/2018 - TSP GIC System Model data due to ERCOT • 10/15/2018 - ERCOT to provide combined GIC data to PGDTF • 10/18/2018 - TSP face-to-face TSP-only model working session • 2/15/2019 - PGDTF to provide ERCOT with final GIC model 8/9/2018 ROS Meeting
