2. Our star the sun The sun is the brightest object in the sky .the sun is the biggest star in the solar system.the sun is a averge size star. The gases fuel a star .the gasesburn and create energy .the gases biol and pop.the gases storm rage is around its surface .

3. Star Characteristics Sun spots look like dark blotches on the suns bright surface . Over 11 years the number of sunspots rises. Flares accour when gasses explode from the suns surface. A flare shoots energy into space . There for it mixes with gasses in our atmosphere . It causes the gases to glow green , red , blue and pink .On a clear night on earth we can maybe 3,000 stars . That’s just a fraction of the billions upon trillions of stars in space .

4. A star from birth to death It takes millions of years for a new star to start to shine. Most stars live millions or billions of years . The biggest and hottest stars burn there fuel quickly . They die after a few million years .smaller stars live longer . They don’t burn there fuel fast luckily ,our star is a smaller star .Its 4.6 billion years old .when our sun does run out of fuel ,its outer layers of gas will puff out .then the suns light will slowly dim .it will become a black dwarf , a floating ball in space .gravity implodes other giant stars .they can collapse on themselves in less than a second and then dissapear forever .they become black holes .thier gravity is so strong that nothing not even light can escape .
