Life in the Navajo tribe By : Nashoba A.K.A “Caleb” (or something)
Intro • Hello, my name is Nashoba, which means wolf. • I live in the Navajo tribe. The year is 1642. My name is Nashoba but you can call me Caleb Scott. It means Great boss one in my language. • ( Kidding, but I like it better.)
Journal entry #1 My dad, the chief, told me a funny story today. • http://www.indigenouspeople.net/coyokill.htm He got it from a wonderful place called • WWW. Indigenous people.net. (strange, I know)
Journal entry 1 Contd • My dad went on a raiding battle today. We just go on raids and steal stuff because it is dishonorable to attack all out. Children and old people might get hurt. My friends dogs keeper got exiled for that ,eh, he was ugly anyway. We use dogsleds to get our things around when we move. Did I mention I loooooooove corn. It is my favorite food. When I go home to my hogan (or house silly white man)and find corn on the table I almost hug my mother. Almost. ( I still have some decency) I also like deer, antalope and squash and beans.(phych)
Journal entry 2 • My tribe lives in a hilly , dry , WESTERN environment in the south west region of the U.S. It is cold at night and all day in winter. It is warm almost every other day, except at night. Our climate is so dry, when we don’t have water, we rip a cactus open with our toolsand drink it. It hurts. Sometimes I go two and a half days without water. We always find some in the nick of time though. Or my parents hide it. Either way I don’t die. At least I don’t think so.(kidding) We have lots of caves, that our neighbors, the Anasazi are happy to live in.
Fooled ya!!!!! • Trollolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol
Reflection #1 • My name is Showemowetochawcawewahcatoe. • It means High backed wolf. It is 1943 in the middle of WWII. I found this in the old camp. • It was in a cave. Anyway, our language is the only code never broken by another country. Our tribe is doing very well. Navajo nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nashoba was my great, great, great, great, great, great, grandpa.
Reflection #2 I think that I will get a good grade because I did thorough research and I added a real storyline, and not just “my tribe blah blahblah”. I could have added some more info, so overall I give myself a 98 A.
