  1. Welcome Mrs. Alexander’s Room 308

  2. Procedures and Rules • Entering/Exiting the classroom • -Come in quietly and begin Warm Up • -You will wait until I dismiss you.

  3. Getting to Work Immediately • As soon as you walk into my room you are to get busy with your warm up and wait quietly for further instruction.

  4. Tardy’s • If you are tardy more that 3 times a parent/guardian will be contacted. • If you are tardy the 4th time the assistant principle will be notified.

  5. Schedules • Please know where you are going everyday. • A day B day posted in rooms

  6. Lockers • -Lockers are for securing student belongings • -Sharing, giving of combination, “learning” of another’s combination or rigging of lockers is not permitted and may result in a loss of locker privilege.

  7. Transportation to and from School • Early bus/ late bus • Car riders (we will not hold up traffic) • Stand in grade level area during car rider pick up • NO HORSE PLAYING

  8. Office/Nurse • You MUST have a note from a teacher

  9. Hall Pass • You MUST have a HALL PASS to leave the classroom

  10. Absences • Note MUST be turned into the office within 3 days

  11. Lunchtime Procedures • KNOW YOUR LUNCH NUMBER • Prices • Where to sit • Sweep and wipe tables before leaving the lunchroom • GOOD BEHAVIOR

  12. PE/Electives • There will be no bell between PE and Elective classes • Your PE or Elective teacher will dismiss you

  13. Fire/ Tornado/ Intruder Drills • Discuss where to go… • STAY CALM

  14. LISTENING • EVERYONE is to participate in classroom discussions. • Call home for any constant disruptions.

  15. Pencils • Cup of unsharpened and cup of sharpened.

  16. Keeping my room clean • At the end of the day you will pick up any paper/pencils around your desk.

  17. Grades • Most assignments in my room will be graded. • If you fail to complete the assignment you will be required to make it up. Sign log if you do not bring your homework into class.

  18. Assignments • All assignment must have your name, the date, the block, and the title of the assignment at the top right hand corner. • We will pass our papers to the center of the row for them to be collected.

  19. Moving about the room without permission • YOU WILL SIGN THE DISCIPLINE BOOK IF YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR SEAT WITHOUT PERMISSION

  20. Early Finishers • You should always have a book to read in case you finish work early.

  21. VISITORS • When I have a visitor in my room, you WILL remain silent and continue working on assignments or get out your book and read.

  22. SICK • If you become sick in my room, get up without any interruptions and go to the restroom. When you feel better you can ask to go see the nurse.

  23. Announcements • When someone comes over the intercom you will get quiet and listen very carefully.

  24. Textbooks • Our textbooks this year will be online. • We will have a classroom copy. • We will not receive our new textbooks until the beginning of October.
