  1. Welcome to Mrs. L. LeeSecond Grade Class Back to School information

  2. Students’ Guide • Be at school on time. • Have enough school supplies. (backpack, folder, 2 pencils, pencil sharpener, etc.) • Start homework no later than 4 pm and finish homework before dinner. • Student should be able to do homework by himself/herself because all homework are review skills from class work. • After finishing homework, student should put it away, save it in the backpack and bring homework back on due date. • Student should show parents tests or papers needed to be signed and bring them back the next day.

  3. Parents’ Guide • Parents will check students’ backpack everyday. • Sign, correct and return any test or worksheet as soon as possible because our lessons built on daily basis. If a child has Math problem today and does not review tonight, this child will encounter unnecessary problem tomorrow. • Provide a quiet corner and time for your child to finish school work before dinner. Encourage your child to clean up afterward. • Send your child to go to bed no later than 9 pm. • Everything you do here is to prepare your child for success at school.

  4. Achievement Guide • Homework and school performance count heavily for report card grades. • School performance includes classroom participation and academic tests. • Math and Spelling tests are offered weekly through the whole year except short week due to holidays. • Language Arts, Writing, ELD, Science, Social Studies, Art, and PE are periodically assessed by different themes. • O – Outstanding • S – Satisfactory • N- Need improvement
