3. 3 1. Description of the organisation/ company Southern Federal University - a dynamic, modern university with high standards in teaching and research. At present SFedU, the legal successor of Rostov State University, comprises Technological, Pedagogical and Architecture Institutes, 36 faculties, 23 branches, 70 Research units. SFedU has 2 campuses in Rostov and Taganrog. About 50 000 students are trained at the University.
Research and Educational Center of Nanotechnology (R&EC NT) was founded in 2003. During 2006-2008 years about M$20 was obtained from RF government and another sources for modern equipment.
