Sir Ken Robinson / Prof. emeritus, Author, former Education Commissioner of UK Governmentargues that: our educations systems are still based on the needs of a 19th century industrial society. Activities • CreatLearn aims to initiate the needed change of mind-set by • developingteachers’ skills & resources on cross-border level by joint teacher trainings • lead by experts on creative techniques: artists & culture NGOs • setting up show-case classroom projects on creative learning around the South-Baltic Area • involving decision makers into project activities • disseminating the know-how, resources & best practice examples to promote the mind-set change • setting up an open-access & dynamic discourse on this education reform in institutions and key actors

South Baltic Creative Education Resource Centre interactive online exchange platform for south bsr teachers scientific research & guidelines Classroom projects on „Civil Courage in South BSR society“ south bsr creative expert pool verified arguments on education reform for decision makers crossborder teacher trainings crossborder stakeholder network meetings education conferences

Results • Cross-border cooperation networks between education departments, school managements, teachers and art & culture NGOs, university for exchange of experience, knowledge, innovative teaching methods, teaching resources, material & best practices, research results • Open access online Resource Centre as durable interactive platform for knowledge sharing & multiplication of creative education approach • South-baltic teacher trainings & multiplication of creative education methods beyond partnership • Pilot classroom projects as show cases & best practices on creative education • Inspirations and newly developed tools & method spread via teacher trainings, education conferences, online resource centre, school arena workshops, inspiration book, UBC network, etc. • Verified arguments to promote education reform among decision makers All being initials to change mind-sets of students, teachers, school managements, NGOs, decision makers & South-BSR communities

What do you get? … a cross-border co-operation project connecting 5 cities / regions of South-BSR, creative expertise, dissemination / multiplication task force and scientific research aspiring the improvement of education as key resource to future wealth, competitiveness & common identity in line with: Growth & Job Strategy Lisbon & Gothenburg Strategies EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region / Action 12: To maintain the attractiveness of the BSR for it‘s citizens National & regional education strategies
