Vision • Vision is God’s preferred future. • It is a clear mental picture of what could be, fueled by the conviction that it should be. • “Missing out on God’s plan for our lives must be the greatest tragedy this side of eternity.” (Andy Stanley)
Components of Vision • A problem or concern • A conviction that something must be done • A clear picture of what the future could and should look like • A God-given solution for the problem • A basic strategy to implement the solution
The Problem • The Church and other Christian organizations are not effectively mobilizing people for significant impact in our communities and in the world. • Our churches and other Christian organizations are filled with people who have great potential to change the world.
The Problem • 66% of the world’s 7 billion people are lost • 28% have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ • 1.2 billion people live in dire poverty • 1.4 billion have no clean water • 1.5 billion have no medical care • 1.7 billion have no housing or shelter • 800 million live with daily hunger
A Conviction • Hundreds of thousands of highly qualified individuals, with passions, experiences, giftedness, abilities, and discretionary time and resources are available to address these problems. • 80% of the evangelical wealth of the world is in the hands of Americans. • 10% of this wealth would provide enough resources to get the Gospel to all unreached people groups of the world and to meet all the humanitarian needs aforementioned.
A Conviction • Something could be done to solve this problem. • Something should be done to solve this problem. • Something must be done to solve this problem. • Something will be done to solve this problem. • Will you be a part of the solution?
A Clear Vision • Hundreds of thousands of individuals discover who they are - how God has shaped them for mission. • Hundreds of thousands of individuals discover and engage in their God-given mission or purpose in life. • Hundreds of millions of dollars are mobilized to facilitate the fulfillment of these God-given missions. • Millions are reached for Christ and the basic humanitarian needs of millions of people are met.

(Ephesians 2:10)
