  3. Purpose of Community Conversation To providean opportunity for communityengagement and participation in discussions that facilitate the well-being of CF families locally and nationally.

  4. What are we going to do tonight? • Discuss family services that work well in your community • Discuss what possibilities exist in your community to improve family services

  5. Introductions Activity • Briefly share the following: • Your name, • How long you have lived in this community, • How long you have been living the military lifestyle, and • A family service or program that you know of.

  6. Activity 1 – Values and What is Working Well? Work in groups to answer these questions: • What do you value most about your CF lifestyle? • What is working well in terms of family services in this community?

  7. Activity 2 - Small Group Work Three Wishes • What three wishes do you have for improved family services in this community? • Pick your group’s top three wishes

  8. Community Conversation Your Comments Matter! • Are you confident that your personal information is kept confidential? • Do you receive timely and relevant information? • Do you have opportunities to provide feedback on services? • Do you have opportunities to identify your needs? • Are you satisfied with the level of support available during a duty related separation? • Are you aware of the Family Information Line? • Are you aware of www.familyforce.ca? • Are you aware of the Canadian Forces Member Assistance Program (CFMAP)? • Do you feel that you have been able to access family services in your official language of choice?

  9. What happens next… • Community Site Visit Report to the local Commanding Officer • Summary Report of trends shared with other DND service providers at a national level • The local impact of the Community Conversation: catalyst for greater community engagement
