Peg Leg’s contributions to dance • Danced until 89 years old • Order of Palmetto award • (8) Made his own style • (9) American Jet Plane • (10) Peg Leg Bates Country Club 1951 – Blacks were welcome • Inspirational speaker / dancer • Taught children to believe in one’s self because of his example - "look at me.“
