You may also hand write and use a sheet of copying paper to make your own Brochure. Use color pencils, etc. You may copy & paste anything into the template. Be sure that if you copy, then provide reference website at the bottom of your brochure. You may extend the grids by width or length.

4. 3. Poster Board or Bulletin Board (Standards- Coordinate System & Relations, Mapping, Evaluate Functions, Real Number System, or Open Sentences). (you may google for ideas).Be neat & creative. • Instructions 1. Cut a 14 by 11 ½ poster board 2. Create or Design a Poster Board bulletin board by choosing one of the Standards. 3. 5. 6. Lesson Plan. • Instructions: (Use clip art, etc.) • Create 5 slides or use copying paper to hand write. Email the power point to debra.davis@elmore.k12.al.us. Or turn in the handwritten copy to teacher. • Slide 1: Title of Standard (any of the standards taught so far this 9 weeks in class) Your name, teacher’s name, Class Period & Due date 3. Slide 2: Key Concepts! or Vocabulary about Standard 4. Slide 3: 3 examples worked out including steps 5. Slide 4: Create 3 problems assessment follow-up (quiz, worksheet, etc. -- label title of it 6. Slide 5: Tell how the concept/standard is related to real world in one sentence summary. *Note! If you use examples from the internet, cite the source 4. Autobiography. Write or type a 1 page autobiography about your math experiences. Must be at least 3 paragraphs. (a paragraph needs to be at least 5 complete sentences). If typed, use 12 font Roman Times.

Song • Instructions: • Write a song or rap song about one of the math standards topics taught in class. • Perform it in front of a sibling, parent or relative, and get the person to sign off at the bottom of your song verifying that you performed it. • Turn it in to the teacher

7. 8. Math Interview: • Instructions: May be handwritten or typed. If typed, 12 font size -- Roman Times • Interview a friend or work person. • Create 5 good questions to ask about how he/she used math on their job or in his/her life. • Turn in the interview questions & answers.

8. 9. Calculator Project • Instructions: (May be handwritten or typed. If typed, 12 font size -- Roman Times) • Write your own calculator manual of how to use a calculator to solve math problems. If can be on any concept taught in class. For example, square or cube roots, evaluating order of operations, etc. • Tell the type of calculator to use for title of your Manual. • Should include steps of turning on the calculator 1st. • At least 4 steps should be used.

Simple Math board game or game--matching game, bingo, etc. Should only be 14 ½ by 14 ½ poster board. • Suggested materials (poster board, clip art, coloring utensils, game pieces, dice, play money, index cards, spinners, other board games for ideas, dice, a deck of cards, etc. etc.). • Choose from one of the following topics: open sentences & equations, area/perimeter, integers, or evaluate functions or evaluate expressions using the order of operations. • Make your set of rules of the objective of the game, how to play the game, number of players, and/or how to win the game.
