A webinar is also offered on Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programs. These programs have been operating successfully in many parts of the country since the late 1980’s. From the experience of these successful programs, a number of best practice strategies have evolved for treating energy efficiency as a resource and developing and delivering a cost-effective portfolio of programs.

Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy Executive Order 48 was issued to improve the energy efficiency in state government facilities. EO-48 directs agencies to reduce energy consumption and costs by 2010.
