  3. 0.INTRODUCTION • The International Development Agenda 2030 known as Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs in acronym, was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly (UN) in September 2015. This agenda, structure the activities of the United Nations for Next 15 years, in 17 objectives, 169 targets and 232 indicators. • In the context of the domestication of these objectives, each country is called upon to prioritize these objectives and targets according to its needs and its national context. • Burundi, as a signatory State to this Declaration, has adopted its national priority package, which contains 16 SDGs, 58 targets and 110 indicators.

  4. 0.INTRODUCTION, cont • It is in this context that the Burundian Government set up an interministerial committee, whose first mission is to contribute to the elaboration of a list of objectives, targets and indicators of the prioritized SDGs, and then assist the National Statistical Institute in collecting data to inform the selected indicators. • the indicators presented in this paper are among those selected as priorities
