  1. Preview of our next unit: The Renaissance After the fall of the Roman Empire…things go downhill. All those nice apartments, indoor plumbing and books about democracy are “lost” for many years. Society falls into what is called a “Dark Age”

  2. However, a Plague strikes at Europe killing many people. Bad! Sad! But the people that are left enjoy more resources and a better lifestyle. They begin to rediscover the ideas of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Our story begins in a city called Florence, where a family called the Medici struggle for power….
