Pinellas County Economic Development & EOC Desk Officer - ESF 18 • Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED) will serve as the Pinellas County Economic Recovery Coordinator to facilitate economic recovery within the business community following a major storm. • As with all of our efforts, business partners will be crucial to achieving recovery goals. • PCED will work closely with Emergency Management, FEMA, SBA, our municipal partners, local libraries and our Chambers of Commerce to connect the business community to resources.
Concept for Disaster Collaboration between Businesses & the EOC • Establish a two-way communications network between businesses and with County EOC • ESF-18/Economic Development covers large employers and industry • Need other collaborative connection liaisons • Involve segments of the business community such as: • Financial / Banking • Retail • Contract Support Services • Fuel • Develop tools for event communications to liaisons for: • Situational awareness of the County • Actionable items for the County to assist businesses • Actionable items for businesses • Public Information sharing
